Kumara trip

Yesterday we went to kumara It was pretty cool, We did 4 activities with our school, The Londanderry rock walk, a drama activity In an old bathing pool, team building and history. My favourite history, people might find this weird but History is one of my favourite things to do, I find Interest in learning the past because some of the stuff they went through was really tough.

This was our first activity this was probably  one of the best ones because miss donavin put on an Irish accent and told story about the banshee. The walk was about 10 minutes and at the end was this huge rock that was estimated to way around 400 tons and back in the old days it rolled down the hill and the thump was so loud it apparently stopped clocks in kumara.

The Bathing Pool
On the way back from the walk we went to an old fashioned pool called the bathing pool (I think it was called that) when there we had to read or preform a play or poem. My group did a play on blackjack Joe an villain in kamara who terrorised the Irish by beating them up I was a retired bear fist boxer and I had to save the town by beating up black beard. it was kinda fun and I got a choco fish

Team Building
This was a OK one but the building was my favourite we had to make a catapult to explain and signify what people used to do to get a message across the river this was pretty fun but we got hardly got to start be four we were out of time!


History
The last thing that we did was a history lesson about kumara. there was this guy that dressed up as the mayor or kumara which was also the prime minister of NZ

 

My weekend

On the weekend I went over to tyler's house On the first night we went into town to see the opening of the town square It was pretty cool watching the band play, that was really fun. But then came the christmas tree Tbh I think It looks like a rocketship about to take off and It looks a little stupid.. I dont want to be all debbie downer on it but couldn't they just walk into the bush and cut down a huge tree that would look better than it. anyway the next day we went to the christmas parade and the moana flout looked sooo good they had water guns as well and cameron spied me in the crowd and shot me down right in the face. after that we went to were they had the zorb balls and that was really fun.

My weekend

So it was camp and we got back on friday that day we went down to queens town so we arrived at queenstown at 10:00 after we left at about 3:30 We did it like champs no stops just keep on driving. when we got there I hit the mattress and slept like a log and woke up at 7 me and tasmin went into the main part of the house and watched some tv after that we went and had brekkie at a place, blah blah blah. the wedding so i had never been to a wedding before. like i did but i was 5 and i didnt really know what the heck was going on. so I just kind of went with the flow I dressed up with a tie and shirt and stuff and then we did the ceremony it went fast probably because it was ten minutes. but after that we took photos. Then the plan was to go to the heritage and PARTY but that started at 5:15 and it was like 3:30 so me and my older cuzzy went to this fancy icecream place. Being theo and a little bit of a grapefruit I choose chocolate when there were all these fancy ice cream flavours I chose chocolate. then It was the party which was by far by favorite we were all dancing and yea that was my weekend

Weekend recount

So On the weekend Me and niko had to do some filming for some kind of promotion thingy for the west coast that took about half the day. Anyway after that Ridge came over. At our house there is a construction site that has been like that for about 5 years half built this hole time But beside that there is another construction site that is actually getting built on put A lot of rubbish in the one that has been half built for 5 years. when i say rubbish i mean polistiren A LOT OF Polystyrene. so in this half built house there is a hallway and there is no roof on top of this hallway so we grabbed all of the polystyrene  and made stairs so we could climb out of the hallway this took a long time and the stairs were so so so dogey they were falling and snapping when we were climbing. After that we had a bb gun war during this we went into the construction site that was actually getting built on and climbed the roof and sat up there. The next day me niko ridge went out on the boat and I had a blast wakeboarding.

My weekend

Well last weekend was pretty crazy On saturday it was a regular day but on sunday Man it was chaotic. So i will cut to the chase basicly sunday Horrible weather Pouring rain with  High winds and we thought we should kayak down the crooked river. so thats what we did It took a long time to get out of the river Anyway. We got out of the river to see a lake that had a lot i mean a lot Of white caps The WAVES WERE HUGE. no joke. so We got out to the islands in the middle of the lake. and then disaster struck dad and nikos canoe flipped. Canoe!! like and It filled Up with water and sunk below the surface anyway 150 meters off shore we were floating in the middle of the lake and with huge waves hitting us in the face. I was on the ocean kayak so i was dry Until dad told me to get out and swim back to sure. I was wearing long johns shorts rain jacket a polyester jersey. and luckily I had a life jacket So heres the problem so far. Tasmin and jaymee were In a canoe, so we were trapped on a island for 1 and a half hours. in the freezing cold

My weekend

Well On the weekend We didn't really do that much On saturday we Built a bbq And then really I just chilled out I watched the golden state play the pelicans and watch the last quarter of cleveland vs the bucks The next day though it was raining not for the whole day though But it was also my dads birthday and so dad had a sleep in and then we had brunch at about 1:20 me and niko set of on our bikes to go celebrate patricks birthday. On Monday it was pouring down but me and niko wanted to go outside so we played some bin basket ball which I only just lost after this We played cricket I wanted Revenge SO i put on a bet Because I usually win at cricket But today I Lost so I had To jump in the lake and it was really really cold and then I walked back home by myself because Niko left me by myself.

Persuasive writing (prescription medication)

Last term Our class has been Writing persuasive writing. I choose to write about the over usage of prescription medication. I choose to write about this subject after I heard a song about it. I feel that i did well Because I was able to captivate my audience and keep them captivated. I think that the way I spoke was also good for my audience so that they Sucked up all of the information.

I think my audience Learned A lot about my subject because it something that not many people talk about. Overall I feel that my speech was a good one

Forces creation tsunami

This week we have been learning about forces and I chose to learn about about Tsunamis. For this My zak and ridge made a tsunami in the school sandpit. we Used a big Pipe Filled with sand and dropped it in the "lake". We had made little cardboard houses with hot glue and cardboard. We also had to research about tsunamis. I Hope you enjoy

My weekend

This week was a sporting weekend with Our  west coast games on saturday and sunday. So on saturday we Arrived at 2:25 and went into the club rooms were our Uniforms were hanging up and all laid out Just like the pros we had a our name printed and stuck above our uniform. Our warm up was fast and before I knew it we were running out of the tunnel People clapping all around us. Our names were called out from the speaker and the under twelves were there is well clapping In the first game I was on the bench which i was annoyed with myself because i reckon I could've done better But I came on And tackled HARD which meant the next day I came on in the starting line up and I was so Happy. and by the end of it we Won Both games

The station was bright. And smelled like feet. The bustling of the people made me cringe as I boarded the train. I stared down at my shoes as I mounted the steps, a lump in my throat when I realised I was boarding the wrong subway. I tried to escape but the doors…. They closed. I groaned in frustration, as I remembered that I didn’t have breakfast. My Face Lifted as I remembered that I always Pack a pack of biscuits in case of an emergency like this. I unzipped my leopard-print fanny pack and fished out a lollipop; but no biscuits. I stared down in disbelief, where were me girl guide bikkys. As I whipped my head from side to side in panic, I spotted fatman in stubbies with wis massive butt squeezed into the cheap plastic seats, munching on cookies. I approached the tub of lard and reached for my cookies. I could taste the sweet chocolate dipped vanilla biscuits. “I'm coming my love,” I said, but as I grabbed them, the man growled ferociously. I whimpered in fright, it was the devil of mcdonald's himself. I backed away slowly, fearing the wrath of his quivering double chin. But before he could attack, the subway carriage shuddered to a halt and a voice came over the intercom; “We have arrived at McStreet, anybody getting off should get a move on”.  My tummy growled, demanding the cookies that were taken from me. As I stepped out of the foul-smelling carriage, I glanced at the fat man that stole my biscuits. “I will get you for this” I said as I backed out of the subway looking him straight in the eyes. You wait….

Blood. Sweat. Tears. And burgers. The relentless hustle to best the fat man at his own game; being fat. Over the past 300 days, I have eaten nothing but Mcfood, and Mcwater. Jiggled down the stairs, adrenaline pumping through my clogged arteries. As I took my first step outdoors for what felt like years, I saw him. Everything around me was destroyed. an apocalypse Over the Past 300 days The fat man has eaten everything even the brussel sprouts. Causing the world to collapse under the weight of his rolls. I faced the fat man His burped. It was a hurricane. The food was served. I stared down at the plate and started in the biggest eat off in history.

My Weekend

This Weekend was a long one because we went to christchurch On wednesday To watch the last of tasmins netball. When we arrived it was late so we sat down and talked with our oma. The next day we were off to grandmas To Watch my sisters netball Then for the rest of the Time in christchurch We Just chilled out.
