Last term Our class has been Writing persuasive writing. I choose to write about the over usage of prescription medication. I choose to write about this subject after I heard a song about it. I feel that i did well Because I was able to captivate my audience and keep them captivated. I think that the way I spoke was also good for my audience so that they Sucked up all of the information.
I think my audience Learned A lot about my subject because it something that not many people talk about. Overall I feel that my speech was a good one
For the past 3 Weeks Ruma J (my class) has been writing responses for movies,books,art and even rugby matches! Basicly we chose something to write a response on, after we wrote the response we had to make a creative response. This could include A fake movie trailer, highlights of the rugby match and artwork. xXx return of xander cage is a HIGH action movie directed by D. J. Caruso and written by Rich Wilkes. The movie is about Xander cage (vin diesel) who has to race against time to recover a sinister weapon called pandora's box, which can control every military satellite in the world. Xander cage finds himself entangled in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of government. With 2 hours of intense action, xXx Is a 85 million dollar movie, with some of the best leading actors.
xXx has breath taking stunts, with high risk and high reward. This movie leaves you on the edge of your seat.
The extremely high action is perfect and is just what people want. The majority of action movies these days are boring until the end, when there is 5 minutes of just explosions which in itself is a bit boring. In the first 10 minutes of xXx, Xander cage jumps off a phone tower with skis on and skis down a dirt mountain. A critic stated: “With all the requisite explosions, chases and gunfights you'd want, Vin Diesel returns to revive yet another action franchise in a highly entertaining, deliriously preposterous crash-bam adventure”.
The stunts are Incredible, with lots of dangerous scenes like the downhill longboarding , Massive fight scenes WITH explosions, Skiing down a dirt hill through the forest, after jumping off a huge phone tower, and let's not forget the motorbike fighting scene. One viewer said the movie is “filled with lots of action and gunfights, definitely worth watching,Vin Diesel never seems to disappoint.”
The expert script somehow is able to keep you entertained for 1 hour and 50 minutes which is a long time. The nonstop action is what people want to see. And the little jokes just make movie exceptional and more enjoyable to watch.
Overall I think this movie is Funny,action packed and has some great directing.
The reviews might say otherwise, but I say that you should get off of your chair and go watch this movie, because you don't want to miss it.
The Icknield Way painted by Spencer Gore is a wonderful Piece of artwork. It is a painting of a Valley when the sun is setting. The painting is of a country road in 1912, the beautiful lights of the sky is beaming down onto the grass and making the world have a pinkish tinge to it. The sky steals the show with its vibrant colors which can stop you in your tracks.
This artwork shows Spencer Gore's skill with his brush and lets the viewer finally see what the perfect sunset is, the artworks strong points are color choice,landscape and its calming nature.

This artwork captures the perfect sunset. With no human life to be seen, no Roar of a motor or the sound of the city, you can really relax.
The Calming colours like green,yellow and pink , beaming sun and that you're left to yourself Is, for me, very calming.

Spencer Gore used very very nice colors choices, with the use of hot and cold it relaxes the eyes and you wish that you were there. The sky steals the show with its pink yellow contrast. The greens that Spencer used brings out the valley and brings thought to this painting.

This links to me because at my house there is a similar farm rode on the top of some planes when I sit there and watch the sunset it makes me thing about a lot of things and it makes me feel the same as when I look at this painting.
Overall I like this painting because of the sky and the road in the middle. The background,middleground and foreground all contrast each other.

characteristics of different dance styles, we practised our note taking skills. we experimented with each dance style and created our own dance sequences
Last term Our class made short narratives, So then this term we are writing responses, or as you might call it reviews. I read Ridge steeghs story called blowing up the world. First I had to write a review or response for the story, that included Judgments of the story, recommendations and an overall judgment. When we finished we had to make a creation. Some of the choices were, A panel, conference,book signing and fake text conversation about the book. I chose a conference, and hired actors while I was on camera duty. I hope you enjoy My video.
For this term we have been focusing on narrative and this is my final piece i came up with this story. I found this task very fun and entertaining because of the independence that we had during this activity. It started off with the Game of awesome then we started 3 narratives and we had to choose which story to go through with. I chose "Wasteland".

Today we went for a walk on the valenski track.
This was important because we are building a talking shed so we need to know about flora and fauna.
this was really fun because we don't have to be stuck inside.
I learnt That some plants taste really good and some not so much.
I really loved this and hope that we can do it again.
The kiwi is a little flightless bird located in New Zealand. There are 5 types of kiwi which the great spotted kiwi is located here in the west coast. Kiwi are part of the flightless bird family.
The great spotted kiwi has many characteristics and is located in the wild mountainous regions including the west coast with many predators and prey.
The great spotted Kiwi has many physical characteristics.
It is the tallest Kiwi being 45 Cm tall
thus making it so much easier for them to get over and eat more bugs in there bush.
The kiwi has a very strong and long beck they have a big body and small head.
A Lot of there body is fat and fur to stay warm in the winter and there strong beak is so they can get food
